Midweek Sermon Series

We know how difficult it can be to prepare for midweek sermons during the busiest time of the year. For this series, Pastor Matt Popovits has crafted five excellent sermons around five Scripture passages in which we see God’s use of clothing at work for you to use for each of this year’s three midweek Advent services, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Each sermon emphasizes the distinction between law and gospel and proclaims Christ for you. Preach them as they are written, or adapt them to the ears of your congregation.

Advent Devotional

We are offering this personal devotional as both a free downloadable PDF and a printed book. The book will be made available to order for a low cost later this month. Whether you choose to buy the physical copy or download the free version, you’ll receive a thoughtful devotional created by 1517 contributors to highlight the places and ways God chooses to clothe his people throughout Scripture, leading up to our King Jesus, born on Christmas Day and wrapped in swaddling clothes. This devotional can be used in Sunday school, by individuals, or in Bible study groups. Buy/print a copy for a friend, or multiples for your congregation if you’re a pastor. 

Music Helps

We want to alleviate the stress of planning midweek services in their entirety, which is why 1517 Music has suggested hymns to accompany each service and will provide you with the charts, tutorials, and slides you need to help lead your congregation through worship each week.
